Jamie Burrell lives in Scotland, but his heart is always at Mestalla. He never misses a game on TV, and has managed to convert both his family and his friends into Valencianistas. He fell in love with the club as a teenager, looking up to the likes of Pablo Aimar, Juan Mata and David Villa.
Whilst he usually visits Mestalla at least once a season, he has not been able to continue with his tradition since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I've been coming to Mestalla since 2014 to support Valencia CF. I've been to five games with my friends and family. I also went to the Emirates Stadium for the Europa League semi-final against Arsenal. I try to go to a match at least once per season," Jamie tells VCF MEDIA.
"I love Valencia CF and the city. I look forward to visiting again in the near future once the pandemic is over," he adds.
His best memory is of the Copa del Rey win from the Centenary year.
"My girlfriend and I went to Seville for the final and we watched it in a bar with other Valencia CF fans. It was an incredible night," he says, also recalling his first game at Mestalla.
"The first time my friend and I visited Valencia, we went to Mestalla and the team beat Espanyol 3-1. It was special. I haven't yet seen Valencia CF lose when I've been to Mestalla, so I would like to be able to go to all the games. I'm a lucky charm!"
